Is SEIU Obama’s Promised “Civilian” Police Force?
Union Thugs Strong Arm for Liberal Agenda
(TTfD) From the public beating of an African-American citizen at a Saint Louis “Town Hall” meeting on Health Care to picking on Boy Scouts, the SEIU is proving to be the heart of Obama’s public policy. In fact — according to a Breitbart Big Government contributor, in Obama’s “No Lobbyist” administration, the SEIU has given approximately $187 million to his causes.
The numbers as published yesterday, and utilizing one of TTfD’s favorite authorities, www.opensecrets.org, are astonishing:
- Labor union PACs account for about $305 million in campaign contributions from 2000 to the current 2010 election cycle, 90% of which has gone to Democrats.
- Add to that just the top 20 contributing 527 groups, and it throws at least another $470 million into the pot; the majority of which came from big labor and their front groups like “America Votes” and “America Coming Together“.
- So, when combined with the health industry donations that are so often the only numbers cited, this paints a bigger – and more accurate – picture and adds at least another $638 million that went to Democrats since 2000, thanks entirely to Big Labor. And that’s actually an understated figure, since I didn’t even include most of the 527 groups (just the top 20).
- SEIU alone has spent at least $187 million through combined lobbying, PAC and 527 group donations and expenses on candidates and policy issues – nearly 100% of which went to liberal policy initiatives and candidates
Where it all started is greatly unknown, as is Obama’s past. However, looking back to 2008, it is clear in his address to the SEIU exactly where he stands.
“My Agenda is Your Agenda”
Remember, what he said “Change” was. According to Kenneth Petrini, in an Examiner.com article, this is what he really meant.
Or did he mean, when he used his dear friends in the SEIU to intimidate and physically assault peaceful concerned citizens?
Conservative blogger and Saint Louis talk show host Dana Loesch
put it best by taking the protest to the racist hatemongers at their own SEIU headquarters.
Recently, the “Transparent” president — after ignoring numerous requests for public information — released his guest list to the White House. Would anyone be shocked to find that Andy Stern, SEIU president and head thug is amongst the most frequent White House guests?
CrashPolitics offers this:
A bit more:
Andy paints a sad story of his daughter’s death. It is always sad when a child dies. However, the implication is that he did not have insurance; that is not true. In fact, Andy didn’t really even need it as a union boss with nearly limitless income.
So how does this union look to improve health care? According to the Philadelphia Inquirer
having health care workers not do their jobs of taking care of the injured and ill. They strike.
Union loyalty has proven more powerful to health care workers than their calling to help others. Obviously, these union workers are really only helping themselves. Perhaps in this age of health care reform an informed Senator may suggest that all health care jobs be non-union as a matter of protecting patients from political lobbying and corrupt organizations like SEIU.
