Scott Brown Win Slated; Dems Deciding to Skip Democracy
Obama Coakley Support May Clinch GOP Win
(TTfD) With the Massachusetts Senate race ending tomorrow, Scott Brown has been slated to win by many pundits filling a seat owned by Democrats for some sixty years. The final call at Election Projection, citing a Public Policy Poll, suggests Brown will finish the day with a solid 5 point win over Martha Coakley.
Coakley and Brown were nearly neck and neck recently, despite a Coakley 30 point loss in polls over the last month. With stumping by Obama yesterday — mocking Brown yet claiming to know nothing of his record — more voters appear to be sealing themselves to the pickup driving conservative.
Not just anyone can drive a pickup truck these days, which was one of the many “jabs” Obama attempted to take at Brown. The recession has hit many more Americans than Obama would ever know as he has never been one to truly travel in circles of common men.
Obama’s urges for his supporters to take this elections seriously were not missed. His own appearance was one out of urgency, an urgency he was unable to show America in making a decision on Afghanistan, or even when a terrorist tried to blow up a passenger plane on his watch. Perhaps if he would spend less time on Twitter and more time fulfilling — rather than avoiding — the promises of his campaign the American people may find hope in some semblance.
Instead, we only see Obama urgency when it comes to his agenda. Job creation is not a priority for him as he knows he can just fund the unions. A sitting President in the midst of crisis has little business hitting the campaign trail. You will not hear the GOP complain; an appearance is nearly a kiss of death to a Democrat campaign.
As of this evening, the Meriman Group has released a poll placing Brown a full 10 points ahead of Coakley. The demographic breakdown shows a definite independent leaning amongst the potential voters toward Brown, along with the majority of conservatives. Obviously, Coakley voters are self-identified liberals.
Of course, the Democrats have other ideas. MSNBC’s Ed Schultz went on the record with how he would handle the election. Credit to the Washington Times for reporting this prior to the election.
“I tell you what, if I lived in Massachusetts I’d try to vote 10 times. I don’t know if they’d let me or not, but I’d try to. Yeah, that’s right. I’d cheat to keep these bastards out. I would. ‘Cause that’s exactly what they are.” — Ed Schultz, MSNBC
Gone are the days of media watchdogs in the mainstream press. Enter the age of Obama, where pundits are bought and paid for and liberalism is exposed as little more than a mental illness. The tide is turning and it does not look good for Democrats, but for America, it is the first glimmer of hope they have seen in the last year.
Expect delays in swearing him in, after all, he’s not voting for Health Care Reform.
