Barry Really Following “W” lead on War; Killed Off Charlie Brown For Meaningless Speech

(TTfD) In a classic fail with a slowed-down teleprompter, Obama announced he would to do exactly what much criticized President George W Bush planned to do — and did in Iraq.  With national approval ratings for his handling of Afghanistan hovering at 35%, Obama’s speech to America in front of West Point Cadets, Obama proved he is still in full campaign mode, much to the disgust of an America somewhat divided by the action formerly known as “The War on Terror.”

The decision to send more troops, disregard the advice of his General on the ground, and assign a date of defeat (July 2011), was not shocking as he has taken his time — over three months — all the while allowing more and more deaths of American soldiers .  His idea of engaging the Taliban in negotiations feels like defeat already.

What led Obama to this point? He has never been a fan of the military, and has no executive experience saving his first 9 months in office utilizing Air Force One as a golf cart on his many outings, and of course the White House as a common saloon to woo those he has bashed.

To conservatives, this is no surprise. To liberals, this is daunting, as they have held out hope that he would live up to his promises to them over doing providing protection from terrorism to Americans.

Those words, of course, are the insane rantings of a man who learned his true calling in life was to win elections only to vote “Present,” then move upward on onward. This is a true example of how Obama mobilized his base; they now have the strange feeling they have been used.

Liberals today are feeling like they bought tickets to a Van Halen Reunion, only to find Sammy Hagar onstage hocking his own tequila brand. They should be, because like the rest of America, they have been lied to.

Obama — who has claimed time and time again not to be beholden to special interests — raised a reported $745 million, according to Opensecrets.org.  That is over twice which John McCain procured. In stark contrast, however, is Obama did take money from the Defense Contracting industry, about one-half million dollars more than McCain did.

Also, Obama took a reported $43,674,254 from Lawyers and Lobbyists, while McCain took in $11,141,721 from the same same sector. An equally strange comparison: Ideological/Single-Issue Groups gave Barack Obama $23,646,302, while again John McCain trailed with $10,098,042. The question, of course, is who are these Single Issue Groups?

In the time it took Obama to make a decision — despite having claimed in the campaign that he had a “plan” — he won the Nobel Peace Prize, said the President of Afghanistan is “corrupt,” nationalized huge American businesses, capped the pay of executives, hired Communists as “czars,” and golfed more than any other preceding President.

For a man who never really told us anything, he has proven he is the president American deserved.

Next time I hope we put a little thought into voting.

Here’s Chris Matthews to prove it.

Sumus Quod Sumus.
