Obama Aplogizes to Europe for American Arrogance, Then Snubs French

Launches New Book, “The Arrogance of my Presidential Smirk”

(TTfD) Today President Obama made Clinton’s Vietnam-era overseas protests against America look Patriotic, telling an adoring audience that Americans have “failed to appreciate Europe’s leading role in the world” and has “…shown arrogance and been dismissive, even derisive” towards its allies.”

Former President Clinton is markedly disapointed as he had thought that to be one of his greatest accomplishments.  But, alas, he did not set the bar of “Self-Hating American” nonsense quite high enough for the new, historic leader Obama.

Obama proceeded then to take questions from the crowd, but decided only to speak mostly with Americans in attendance, who were either too dumb to understand they had just been insulted or were members of his vast, traveling entourage.   This move made his tranformation of his fake town hall meetings in America into fake town hall meetings oversees seamless.

According to Joseph Curl’s Political Theatre Column in the Washington Times, Obama was faced with the challenging question of what kind of dog to get for the White House and how to seem uncreepy, flirting with a young Hungarian girl who said in her language his name is “Peach.”

This led the press to little speculation that she had to be referring to his first name, Barry, as “Hussein” appears to mean the same thing in every language across the globe.  Either way, he was very prepared for such tough questions as he has been warmed up with “softballs” from the media giants of the US for at least the last 2 years, but more likely throughout his entire career.

There are 11 American cemetaries in France, each with long rows of white crosses and Davidic stars and a solemn memory of who real Americans were, and forever will be.  They serve as the final earthly home of  the brave soldiers lost in the defense of France and the fight against the tyranny that taken over most of the continent.    Obama mentioned none of this and did not reflect on the lives of his 406,000 fellow countrymen — who he admonishes — for making the ultimate sacrafice on foreign shores.

At least one pundit — me — heard plenty in his silence.  My Grandparents, part of the greatest generation, lived through the hardships of World War II.  They knew real sacrafice wasn’t about “giving up use of his Blackberry” like President Obama would believe, but rather going without shoes because the war effort needed more raw materials.

They lived through a real depression, not simply a financial mess caused by greedy politicians who  traded our money for personal power.  They lived through rationing, they lived with the losses of friends and family who went off to defend the freedom of others and it never crossed their minds they were being “arrogant” towards Europe.  They were –in ways both small and large — giving of themselves so that people they would likely never meet could live free.

Obama appears to not understand that Europe is a follower and seldom a leader. Europe as a whole gives very little to the poorer nations around the world, and usually shows up sometime — but never first — when America has to aid in the stopping of a conflict. Europeans take the easy way out, and have been spoiled by having past great American leaders like Ronald Reagan and George W Bush to follow and clear a path for them.

I don’t buy many European products not necessarily based on arrogance but rather taste. Have you ever tried Nutella? It is not that good. It’s not like I don’t appreciate the products of France — expensive yet extremely pungent Gauloises and cheeses and wines, I just prefer to shop local.

I don’t hate France, I just don’t think highly of a nation of grown men wearing berets as a fashion statement.

Europe does make nice cars, though. And they are expensive, but rarely have they taken the helm and led the rest of the world in a real and meaningful way.  At least half of the Obama administration drive foreign cars so they must be good.

Well, the Germans make nice cars. The ones made in France are just plain silly.

I took note that French President Nicolas Sarkozy and German Chancellor Angela Merkel both refused to help out in Afghanistan. I understand the French but come on Germany, unleash those panzer divisions again. We all know you want to. I thought European leaders were going to love us under President Obama?
